ST MONICA ENGLISH MEDIUM SCHOOL (CBSE)

St. Monica English Medium School was established on 1st June 2003 under St. Monica Parish, Kumbla by Rev. Fr. Alfred Pinto, the then parish Priest, as a unit of Catholic Board of Education of Diocese of Mangalore.

The main purpose of starting this institution was to impart quality education to the students of rural area. Being a minority institution, it educates students irrespective of caste, cred and religion. The motto of the school is “Planted to Bloom” The institution aimed at nurturing children’s social and emotional needs, intellectual curiosity, creativity and capacity of critical thinking along with advanced academic skills to promote a harmonious development of child.

In June 2003, the kindergarten and standard 1 was opened with 77 students. At present there are 620 children studying in this school. There are 28 qualified teachers and 4 administrative staff
